Spring at Crawford Notch in progress

I teach workshops in my studio. I work with a very small group of students at different levels and give each student individual attention as needed. I am very serious about painting, though my teaching method is laid back and enjoyable for students. I have a wealth of knowledge and am committed to sharing it.

All are welcome, from beginners to skilled artists. Instruction is one-on-one, so more advanced students can choose to bypass the exercises and receive guidance tailored to their level of interest. My goal is for you to see how I work, take the information, and develop your own interpretation of a beautiful landscape, seascape, still life or floral painting. We will explore the development of a mood in our landscape painting. In workshops you will learn how to make a good drawing, discover the importance of values, the basics of color relationships, composition and characteristics of light along with discovering techniques in creating dynamic paintings. Throughout the workshop you will gain confidence in painting skills. One on one instruction, lectures and group critiques will be a part of each session.

Registration:
Students interested in signing up for a workshop should email Varvara Harmon Studio to insure that there is space available. The email should note the workshop desired (oil, acrylic, or watercolor).
Varvara will send an email back, if space is available, and will reserve a place in the workshop. Upon receipt of payment, Varvara will send you information with materials you will need for the workshop, tuition, schedule, further instructions, and directions. Because she work only with a few students at a time, the class fills up fast.

Cancelation Policy:
A full refund cancellation fee will be given to those students that have to cancel their registration 14 (fourteen) days or more before the workshop starts. No refund will be given for cancelation within the fourteen day period, unless Varvara will be able to fill the vacancy.
